Nadeen School

Nadeen School, established in 1977, is well known for its child-centred, holistic approach to education. It follows the English National Curriculum, is one of only two schools in Bahrain to be an accredited member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME), and is an accredited British School Overseas (BSO) school recognised by the British Department for Education. Nadeen School is also rated as Outstanding by Bahrain’s Qualifications and Quality Assurance (QQA.)

The school’s mission statement that “Since 1978 Nadeen School has been dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, stimulating and encouraging environment in which children of all ages, nationalities, abilities and strengths can develop a lifelong love for exploration and learning,” and school motto of “Small School – Big Family” are infused through all facets of the establishment.

Four hundred children aged two to 11 years are enrolled from Pre-Nursery to Year 6 and the school is truly international with more than 50 nationalities represented within its population. The campus boasts four buildings, two playgrounds, beautiful garden areas, a school farm with chickens and ducks, an organic garden and interactive outdoor learning stations.

Alongside the English National Curriculum its “8Cs” (confidence, communication, collaboration, creativity, curiosity, commitment, craftsmanship and critical thinking) are the foundation of all teaching. The school believes that if children are equipped with these interrelated skills, they can learn anything and will be successful, lifelong learners. This philosophy ties together the curricula of the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 as all children work on these same skills. Originality, expression and development of character are encouraged in all pupils.
