The school opened in January 2008 with 17 children and now caters for 170 youngsters aged 18 months to six years across a wide range of nationalities. Teaching is in English by native speakers in a caring and stimulating environment. It is run by Mrs Whitford who was head of St Christopher’s School for 25 years.
The school covers the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 of the British National Curriculum. It aims to help each child attain his/her full potential in a positive and encouraging atmosphere which develops self-confidence and a love of learning. It prepares the children well for the larger British curriculum schools.
Teachers communicate with parents regularly through discussion groups on various curriculum matters and parenting skills, informal chats, scheduled teacher/parent interviews and concerts to which parents are invited.
In addition to the well-presented and colourful classrooms, facilities include, a large paved play area, two smaller enclosed paved areas and two grassed areas, safety gates on staircases and in between all the play areas, a library and an all-purpose hall for PE, concerts, assemblies etc.
